The ILEX Foundation Annual Festival of Films From Iran takes place in January and February 2010 at the following venues:
ILEX Foundation presented its Award for Excellence in Iranian Cinema to Maziar Bahari. The award was presented Saturday, January 9, 2010, in a private reception at the
Koch Gallery,
Museum of Fine Arts,
Boston. The World Premier of Mr. Bahari's new film, An Iranian Odyssey Mossadegh, Oil and the 1963 Coup, followed the reception.
ILEX is pleased to announce the publication of Stri:
Women in Epic Mahabharat, by Kevin McGrath. 2009. Harvard University Press.
This book is a study of heroic femininity as it appears in the epic Mahabharata, and focuses particularly on the roles of wife, daughter-in-law, and mother, on how these women speak and on the kinship groups and varying marital systems that surround them. Visit the Harvard
