Davidson gave an introduction to the monumental Persian epic, Shahnameh, and Naqqal Anvar presented a recitation of this classic epic in Persian, with English translations provided at the Asia Society and Museum in New York. The event, which was cosponsored by the Ilex Foundation, was sold out.
